How do you know if a check for rent is good when they send in advance?

They sent a $3500 check for rent and a rent a car for Sept 28 so they can drive from North Carolina.  They say their from England trying to get a masters.

I am in Illinois and got the same email.  I insisted on speaking with a real person and got no response.  Plus, there is no such thing as a Masters of Economist.  Scam!

I would take the check to my bank, and ask them to look into it. I think that they can find out if the check is real or not.

ya sounds like a scam, cancel that check right away.
