How to rid smoke smell from burnt grease in kitchen

Question

Wife was frying squash and chicken in a frying pan.  She let the pan become too hot and smoke engulfed the kitchen.
She has tried washing all the cabinets with soap and water, using lemon oil on cabinets, and boilin vinigar on the stove.
