how do you shorten a powerpoint presentation without cutting the number of slides

my presentation for school wants 9 slides to be submitted and the size has to be 1mb, I need to cut 1.18mb out of size but keep the number of slides

If you have pictures, try to shrink the pictures before you pate them. Also, try paste cotent from Excel as pic, rather than link to your actual file.
