Japanese Macaques live in areas where the temperature is an average of -10ÂșC. The older a Japanese Macaque becomes the more red its face and bottom become. Groups of Japanese Macaques are primarily formed by adult females, there are roughly three times the number of adult females than there are adult males and young. Females tend to stay within their group their entire lives, but the males will often leave the group for another before sexual maturity. Males tend to be a little larger and heavier than the females
